Janice Lin
Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Janice Lin is a globally recognized leader in the clean energy sector, with over two decades of experience in market development, corporate strategy, and visionary leadership. She is the Founder and President of the Green Hydrogen Coalition (GHC), a 501c3 educational non-profit organization dedicated to accelerating the production and adoption of green hydrogen across sectors to enable a carbon-free energy system. In addition, Janice is the Founder and CEO of Strategen, where she advises a diverse range of clients, including renewable energy technology and service providers, developers, utilities, large corporations transitioning to clean energy, investment funds, and international organizations such as the World Bank.
Janice’s career is marked by a series of transformative contributions to the clean energy industry. In 2009, she co-founded the California Energy Storage Alliance (CESA) and served as its Executive Director for a decade. Under her leadership, CESA became the definitive voice for energy storage in California, driving regulatory progress and industry growth. Janice also co-founded and chaired the Energy Storage North America (ESNA) conference and expo, establishing it as North America's premier event dedicated to grid-connected energy storage.
Before founding Strategen in 2005, Janice held senior management roles at PowerLight Corporation (now SunPower Corporation), including Vice President of Product Strategy and Vice President of Business Development. There, she spearheaded initiatives in product strategy, business development, regulatory affairs, and strategic partnerships, playing a key role in expanding the company’s reach and impact in the renewable energy market.
Janice has been honored with numerous awards, including the 2019 Entrepreneur of the Year Cleanie® Award, the 2014 NAATBATT Market Development Award, and the ESA 2013 Phil Symons Energy Storage Award. Her influence extends to policymaking, having served on the Electricity Advisory Council of the U.S. Department of Energy, the Board of Advisors for the Energy Policy Initiatives Center (EPIC), and the Energy Storage Committee of Joint Venture Silicon Valley.
A strong advocate for education and thought leadership, Janice holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, a BS from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and a BA in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania’s College of Arts and Sciences.
