Zach Woogen works on regulatory and policy research and provides modeling support for energy storage, solar energy, cooperative and municipal utility rate design, and various other energy markets and technologies. Zach previously assisted with research at Dr. Jonas Meckling’s Energy and Environment Policy Lab at UC Berkeley, where he focused on the efficacy of intergovernmental organizations’ green growth policy recommendations. Prior to energy consulting, Zach gained experience in strategy consulting for socially and environmentally responsible businesses through his work as a Project Manager with Bay-Area Environmentally Aware Consulting Network (BEACN). Zach has experience in many facets of sustainability strategy through assisting in the development of a waste management industry standard, volunteering in community outreach for a home energy auditing center, and aiding in the overhaul of a global environmental education network. Zach is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Economics and Policy from the University of California, Berkeley.
