Jin Noh is a Senior Manager at Strategen where he manages policy and regulatory affairs for the California Energy Storage Alliance (CESA). Jin is a leading expert on energy storage policy in the state and a frequent presenter at conferences. Jin’s work focuses on California system and distribution planning processes to value the procurement and operability of energy storage, storage interconnection processes, wholesale market design for energy storage, and innovative program design for behind-the-meter storage resources. Prior to joining Strategen, Jin worked as an Analyst at SRI International where he worked on a range of technology and innovation policy consulting projects for clients such as the New York State Energy & Research Development Authority (NYSERDA). Jin also previously consulted Sonoma Clean Power (SCP) and the US Department of Energy (DOE) on energy storage procurement strategies and grid resilience investments. Jin received a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy Studies and Economics from Duke University, and a Master's in Public Policy from the Goldman School at the University of California, Berkeley.
